Association

ACGNJ logoThe Amateur Computer Group of New Jersey is the oldest personal computer club and user group in the world. I’ve been a member since the early 1980s. The support of groups like the ACGNJ was vital back then. Among other things, they invented and co-sponsor the world-famous Trenton Computer Festival.

IEEE logoThe IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. Besides the IEEE, I’m part of their Computer Society, where my local section is Gainsville, Florida.

ACM logoThe Association for Computing Machinery is the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society, delivering resources that advance computing as a science and a profession. The ACM provides the computing field’s premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading-edge publications, conferences, and career resources.

Harley Owners Group logoThe Harley Owners Group has a very simple mission: To ride and have fun. How can you not get behind that? H.O.G. is an international organization consisting of an umbrella group administered directly by Harley-Davidson and local Chapters sponsored by licensed dealerships. I’ve been a National member for decades and held many Chapter memberships as well. My most recent Chapter affiliation is with Lake County, H.O.G.. Although I’m no longer a member of LCHOG today they remain one of my clients. The reality is that I tend to ride alone but there are still advantages to maintaining a membership in National H.O.G.

Unified Harley Riders patchThe Unified Harley Riders represents a special kind of success story. I mentioned the relationship between H.O.G. Chapters and their sponsoring dealership. In fact, the Motor Company requires that relationship. What do you suppose happens when the sponsoring dealership closes shop? Rather than being absorbed into the Chapter of a neighboring city, the Highroads Chapter chose to form an independent AMA club. The split was successful and the club is strong to this day. The whole story is on their website.

Patriot Guard Riders logo“The Patriot Guard Riders is a 100% Volunteer, Federally registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization which ensures dignity and respect at memorial services honoring Fallen Military Heroes, First Responders and Honorably Discharged Veterans.” I’m deeply offended that some see the funeral services of fallen American heroes as a venue for protest. I’m proud to align myself with the Patriot Guard Riders, to help shield mourning families and friends from interruption in their time of grief.

National Rifle Association logoThe National Rifle Association raises tax-deductible contributions in support of firearms-related public interest activities of the National Rifle Association of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans. These activities promote firearms and hunting safety, enhance marksmanship skills of those participating in the shooting sports, and educate the public about firearms in their historic, technological and artistic contexts.

Universal Life Church logoThe Universal Life Church is the only denomination in the world that opens its doors to all. The ULC ministry represents freedom and I am one of their Ministers. We are one. You are, too.

U.S. Concealed Carry Association logoThe U.S. Concealed Carry Association helps people to become responsibly armed citizens with their programs of education, training, and insurance. Do you care about personal defense and responsibility? If your answer is yes then you need these guys in your back pocket.
